Na manhã do feriado, 16 de junho, um acidente envolvendo uma carreta carregada com pneus foi registrado na BR-116, na serra da Vileta KM776,7. Informações apuradas pelo O Vigilante Online dão conta que o motorista da carreta perdeu o controle da mesma, vindo a cair em uma ribanceira, o motorista sofreu ferimentos, considerados leves e foi levado para o Pronto Socorro Municipal da Santa Casa Leopoldinense pela equipe do SAMU. 

Até o fechamento desta matéria, a carreta e os materiais nela contidos, ainda não tinham sido retirados da ribanceira. A Polícia Rodoviária Federal-PRF, esteve no local do acidente por meio dos Agentes; Paulo e Mattos.
